I have a secret desire for one of these. It might be because I worked for Mitsubishi at the wrong time, and drove a BUNCH of these brand new. I took a particular liking to the 2003+ GTS trim.

I always wondered how difficult it would be to Evo swap one, give it the 4G63 and AWD it deserved.

That is confusing, I guess they didn’t want people thinking of Pontiac when they saw the new Mitsubishi flag ship.

Not saying the Pontiac is the origin of the GTO name, just what most Americans probably think of.

If I remember correctly they used to put the 4g63 heads on the larger 4g64 motor. Then add a turbo or supercharger.
